Although this website focuses heavily on book arts, my art teaching is not limited to bookmaking! I have a masters degree in art ed, and experience with kids of all ages in many different environments and with many different media. For the past several years I've been working with homeschoolers and private students, leading museum classes and drawing classes - for more about homeschool classes see this page, or contact me if you want to work with me to plan a homeschool or private class (I have a few spaces I can rent, but artmaking materials are limited by the rental space's policies, so if you have your own space to host we'll have more options).

As for bookmaking:
Bookmaking is a wonderful way to bring out the storyteller in all of us. I believe that everyone, given the chance, loves to tell stories!

My years of experience as both a book artist and book arts teacher have given me great insight into the most effective ways to teach book arts to children.   Since 1997, in museums, libraries, schools and private workshops, I've enthusiastically taught kids (and adults!) how to make their own books, and led bookmaking skills workshops for teachers.

Arrange a boomaking at your site for students in grades K-12, or for teachers.  I also offer bookmaking parties for a unique party experience!
